Religious people (especially Christians) often cannot and do not experience hope, joy, the miraculous, and ALL OF THE THINGS like and of Christ. Nicodemus came to Christ in John chapter three. Jesus explained to him, a religious leader, why and how he was not experiencing the supernatural things of God even though he was faithfully practicing his religion.
